Looking for a serious Project  aircraft ? Look no further !

When we started the SPEED project we initially wanted to fit a Subaru engine and so we developed the quad cam EJ-22 turbocharged engine to the point where it ran and all fitted, we didnt fly the aircraft but the engine runs well. We still have the engine and a 3 blade IVO adjustable prop. The engine has an ALW gear reduction designed by LightWing.

It must be pointed out that this was a one-off project, spare parts can be obtained from Subaru and we carry  spares for the engine mount and gear reduction, the Ivo prop is  industry standard,  Suparmarine fit them to the 90% scale Spitfire.

We have our own quad tunnel 1000kg amphib. floats available.
With this aircraft,  we can fit  our all metal GR- strut braced high wing (area 165 sq ft 2 struts per side). This will give you a cruise estimate about 110 - 115 kts with Subaru EJ-22 and Ivo prop combenation, a stall speed of about 45 to 50 kts full flap can be expected.
 

 

These wings will ideally suit a float plane being a similar section and shape to that used by the Maul Rocket. These are all available as a kit.
This aircraft could be built as a 2 or 4 seater.

A 2 seat LSA aircraft will be powered by the Rotax 914, the Subaru engine places the aircraft outside the LSA weight limits.
Standard kit build time about 500 to 700 hours, quick build about 250 -350 hours super advanced about 150 - 250 hours.
Kit prices as follows:
Standard kit with float attach hard points $69,900 includes 120l in 2 x wing mounted tanks.
Add $2,500 for additional 2 x 50l (approx) wing tanks, taps, pumps etc.

Float kit with manual retract wheels, legs, ss x-brace wires, hydraulic disk brakes, retrtact water rudders,  self steering  nosewheels. plywood decks ( will look great polished) GRP quad tunnel hulls with  6 water tight compartments per float, 15" diameter main wheels and 10" nosewheels, price between $17,000 and $25,000   This is an estimate as it will depend on how much you want us to build, for the base price, for low maintenance, most undercart components will be stainless steel or ally except the disk brakes and  all  welding will be complete. Brakes are Matco.

The kit price includes in-flight adjustable brake pedals pilot side only and  adjustable seats, pilots seat folds forward for rear compartment access. Add $495 for toe brakes to passenger seat rudder pedals.

Subaru engine, engine mount, engine cowl and bonnet, ALW gear reduction, Motec computerised fuel injection, 3 blade Ivo ground adjustable prop $16,900, add about $2,000 -$3,000 for in-flight adjustable Ivo setup. add $900 for an alloy intercooler (plumbing is not included)
Add $950 for 13"  Spinner
   

Instruments and coms., allow between $8,000 and $80,000 depending on your requirements. We can provide a breakup including our own digital AH with artificial terrain glass cockpit if you require more details.
Price is ex-factory.
For advanced kit add $28,000 includes wings framed and clad un-painted fuselage fitted, doors fitted, interior provided un-upholstered. engine fitted but no electrics.
for super advanced add (a total) $48,000. excludes wiring, painting, fitting instruments and coms.and supplied but not fitted upholstery kit.

This will be a brilliant aircraft with outstanding performance, I dont believe there will be many other manufacturers  in the world that can offer this aircraft at this price along with Aussie backup service and advice to go with the package, please advise ASAP if you want to proceed.
a 33% deposit is requested with the order, parts will begin delivery early 2008. we will hold manufacturing slot no 180 (07 for the SP)  for a refundable deposit of $250.
