The “Quick Build” Kit Option
The “D” Spar is usually provided fully built however our optional “Quick Build” Kit comes with the wings framed up and also the flaps and ailerons partly riveted. Hours to complete the quick build kit are about 200 total.
In the Standard kit, the fuselage is provided abrasive blasted and etch primed, however – the airframe can also be provided in the “quick Build” option with the floor, roof and forward body cowl and firewall fitted. In this state – the fuselage is ready to be covered.
We currently have TWO “QUICK BUILD KITs
For the SP 2000 and SP 4000 aircraft available for immediate sale!
The Australian LightWIng airframe uses the 6061T6 high tensile alloy for all wing frame spars etc. All components are supplied unpainted. The builder may prime them prior to assembly but no cutting is required except for some gussets. The wing shape is easily set using basic tools.
Tools needed to assemble the wing frame include a pop-riveter and an electric drill, some adjustable clamps, and straight lengths of wood will also come in handy during the building process.

SUPER USER FRIENDLY – The central control stick, dual rudder pedals and throttle, dual brakes, roomy cockpit and super quiet upholstered interior all combine to make this the best cockpit area in the Aussie sky.
SAFETY – If you earn your living in the sky, naturally safety is the main issue, to keep you safe and sound, we provide you with by far the most stable flying platform available and 5 good reasons to choose the ALW Range:
- Our safety record speaks for itself, the best in the industry our fully welded steel pilot protection frame is designed to keep you safe no matter what!
- Big Wing Area: 2 Stage flaps combined with a wide undercarriage mean super friendly ground handling.
- Our airframe is tested to way past 6G to guarantee you rigidity and strength, particularly of the flying surfaces.
- Three degrees of washout (wing twist) guarantees minimal wing drop at stall.
